Answer:
The key word here is CASUAL.  The majority of the time we will be inside, and it tends to get cool in the auditorium
where we meet.  On Friday night, if you choose to attend the dance, whatever you would wear to a school dance is fine.

You will receive an "official" white HOBY t-shirt, which everyone will wear on Saturday when we leave campus.
Shorts are definitely encouraged for the volunteer projects! I can't promise that you won't get dirty, but you will
more than likely sweat.

On Sunday, we ask that everyone "dress-up". This means dresses, skirts or nice pants outfits for the girls -
no shorts, please. Guys, we won't make you wear a tie and sport coat - no shorts or jeans, though.

Answer: Girls will be staying in New South Hall or Bacot, and the guys will be in Ezelle Hall.  There is a possibility
that some girls may be housed on the first floor of Ezelle with some of the female adult staff members.

All Millsaps residence halls feature a coded entry system, which means NO male staff members or ambassadors will
have access to the girls' floor.

The seminar will be chaperoned by adult staff members who will also be staying at the facility 24-hours-a-day.

You must bring your own linens, pillows, towels, and personal hygiene items. THE COLLEGE WILL NOT PROVIDE THESE. Don't forget your alarm clock!

*****You might want to bring flip-flops for the showers as well as a caddy for your shampoo, etc.*****

Answer:
In years past, we have found that some ambassadors may not be comfortable in a "dance" setting.   If you choose
to attend the social, there will be snacks and TV available in the lobby of New South Hall. You will be asked
at registration to choose which you want to attend.   You will not be able to attend both.

Answer:
This seminar will be a TERIFFIC chance for you to meet and interact with other students much like you, from all
over Mississippi. The best way to approach HOBY is with an open mind, and by being yourself. We've got a
great program planned, including dynamic speakers, a community service project, entertainment including a talent show,
a choice of a dance or social, and a special closing ceremony to which your parents/guardian are invited. Come prepared
to meet new people, share your views, ask questions, and put your leadership skills into action!
